Also, a very well written cover letter makes a nice addition to your online job application since it is a quick way to sum up your experience and how it applies to a particular position you applied for

Last but not the least, make sure that you have an email address since this is most often than not the most common method employers choose of contacting applicants who have applied online. Make sure that the email you use is a professional sounding email as it gives a good impression to employers.
